Smart storage, custom tile, and functional design turn this dated bath into a dream retreat.

Our homeowners’ primary bathroom was living large in its 90s glory days. We’re talking about a big corner jetted tub (that no one ever used) and a fiberglass shower insert that had seen better years. The space worked… but just barely. It didn’t feel modern, it didn’t feel functional, and it certainly didn’t match the rest of their beautiful home.

So, we rolled up our sleeves (and grabbed our design leashes 🐾) to give this bathroom the glow-up it deserved.

Goodbye Tub, Hello Function

That giant jetted tub? It was taking up prime real estate. Instead, we installed a built-in makeup vanity, complete with cabinet and counter space. Now, every inch is being put to good use.

A Shower That Steals the Show(er)

The fiberglass insert had to go. In its place, we expanded the footprint and built a custom tiled shower with all the upgrades:

  • A toiletry cubby to keep products tidy
  • A built-in bench for comfort and convenience
  • Both a main shower head and a handheld sprayer (because options make everything better)

This shower doesn’t just work—it wows.

Finishing Touches That Elevate Every Day

We swapped out the old laminate flooring for timeless tile, added custom-framed mirrors, and brought in a fresh coat of paint to brighten and modernize the space. The result is a bathroom that feels elevated, purposeful, and perfectly polished.

Bonus: Puppy Love

The real highlight of this project? Meeting Chance, the homeowners’ new golden retriever puppy. Between demo days and tile installs, we got a few tail wags and sloppy kisses that made the whole process even sweeter. (We like to think he gave the finished bathroom two paws up.) 🐶✨
