Seamless design, natural light, and a modern fireplace create a home that feels brighter and larger.
Some homes have a view that just begs to be enjoyed. This one? Perched right on the golf course and tucked into the pines, it was practically made for sipping coffee while watching the sunrise or winding down with evening sunsets.
But there was one problem: the original home had a closed-in porch that didn’t quite live up to its potential. It felt separate, seasonal, and underused. Our homeowners dreamed of turning it into real, usable living space—where the indoors and outdoors could meet in harmony.
So, we teed up our tools and got to work. 🛠️⛳
Expanding Living Space, Expanding Possibilities
By insulating and heating the porch, we transformed it into true square footage the family can enjoy year-round. More heated living space means more room for entertaining, relaxing, or simply spreading out—and it also adds lasting value to the home.

Let There Be Light
We swapped out the old porch windows for stunning picture windows, giving the homeowners a front-row seat to their gorgeous golf course views.
And by widening the opening between the rooms, the natural light now spills into the main living areas, making the whole home feel brighter, bigger, and more connected. It’s amazing what a little extra sunlight can do—it’s like a mood booster built right into the floor plan. 🌞

A Fireplace Glow-Up
While we were at it, we gave the fireplace a modern update that fits seamlessly with the home’s refreshed look. The result? A space that feels cozy, current, and completely custom.

Seamless Style, Inside and Out
On the exterior, we matched the siding and trim to the existing home so the new space feels like it was always meant to be there—no add-on vibes, just polished perfection.

Pups + Progress
Of course, no Retriever Home Services project is complete without a little puppy love. While transforming this space, we had the absolute joy of hanging out with the homeowners’ adorable pup. (If we’re honest, they may have supervised more than once!) 🐾

A Home That Lives Larger
At the end of the day, this project was about more than square footage—it was about creating a home that feels bigger, brighter, and better connected to its surroundings. With more light, more space, and a fireplace made for gathering, this home is now ready for every season of life.
